Moccamaster
Gerard Smit founded Technivorm, the manufacturer of the Moccamaster, in 1964 with this philosophy.
In 1968, he designed the first Moccamaster. Since then, it has been known as a market leader in brewing the best coffee, product design and sustainability.
The secret of perfect coffee is the copper heating element, which is unique to the Moccamaster and ensures an optimal brewing temperature between 92 and 96 °C. This temperature is optimal so that the coffee tastes neither sour (at a lower temperature) nor bitter (at a higher temperature). The brewing time also affects the taste of the coffee and in all Moccamasters it is perfectly set so that every cup of coffee has the perfect strength.
