Close partnerships with farmers and producers have always been a pillar of our roastery. We share many great memories of visits and experiences with many of them. We strive to understand the dynamics of their production in order to maximize our positive impact by purchasing as directly as possible.

One example is the purchase of coffee for the New Standard line. We purchase a wide range of coffees from farmers at different quality levels and in larger volumes. We don’t just focus on the best microlots. We support farmers by directly purchasing their bulk coffees, which retain high quality but have historically ended up in regional blends at low prices.

These partnerships allow us to bring exceptional experiences to the everyday lives of customers from cozy cafes to renowned restaurants. In everything we do at Nordbeans, we always think about a sustainable future. We care about how our coffee is grown and the long-term development of the growing regions.

We helped build a coffee school in Guatemala and a training farm in El Salvador for future generations of farmers.

In our cafes, we give space to local, small farmers who farm with respect for the landscape.

We have long supported the Memory of the Nation or the restoration of the landscape in the Jizera Mountains. In 2021, we helped Adam Pešek on his way to a gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
